National Express operator One Railway has hit an annual average punctuality of trains arriving on time of 90% for the first time, according the latest punctuality figures. The company has fulfilled the commitment in its Joint Performance Improvement Plan with Network Rail, launched last March, to reach a moving annual average of 88% punctuality last summer and then improve this to 90%. For example, One’s West Anglia routes achieved 93% and its rural routes 92%. One’s next challenge is to push the Mainline, Metro and Stansted Express annual results over 90%.
